Our Selfless Mother

It genuinely makes me wonder
whether we have ever given it a thought that Nature expects to be loved by us,
her children, in return. She is full of affection, she is plenteous in love, and
she is overflowing with kindness. Yes, as her kids, we, too, must learn how to
be kind and loving.
She needs no gold, no money, no
exaggeration, and no exhibitionism. All that she wants is a bit reverence and
reciprocated love from us. No riches does she ever want indeed. Well, she is
our mother, our timeless mother.
Have we ever imagined having our
spirit set free by her on an enjoyment spree? When we are in solitude, we can
get to experience it much better, I suppose. Day by day, we are getting busier,
right? Still, we must confess that we are never so busy that we fail to have
some time to be mingled with her.
What if we could relive the
picture of a rainy day suffused with emotions and laughter? What if we could get
lost in a momentary trance or imagination of listening to the ripples of the
ocean? What if we could enjoy the buzzing melody of the honey-seeker bees
instantly?
The world, nowadays, may be full of technologies and scientific discoveries. Still, can we ever, ever overthrow Nature? We need not show our filial love to her by means of bragging and boasting. All we need is to keep her safe and pure from the treacherous claws of man-made pollution. Like a selfless mother, she pleads to us to keep her safe, because by saying so, she wishes our welfare. That is to say, by keeping her safe and sound, we actually keep ourselves safe and sound with the hope of a better tomorrow.
